Caterham Cars celebrates 40 years
From today, the first 40 orders for a new Seven will feature a limitededition styling pack for no extra charge.
The 40 Years of Caterham pack includes a greypainted chassis, which replicates the original Lotus Seven colour; special ruby red 40YOC paint, with bespoke bonnet stripes and a set of 15inch alloys embossed with the Caterham logo.
Inside, the car features tailored leather seats, a grey leather finish to the dashboard, a speciallyembossed key, and a unique, numbered plaque on the dash.
Caterham says that the pack has been designed to evoke the nostalgia of the early Sevens.
Caterham Cars has been building the Seven since 1973, when original owner, Graham Nearn, acquired the rights to the model from Colin Chapman. The firm is proud of the fact that the Seven remains true to Chapmans famous philosophy of adding lightness.
The current UK Caterham range starts with the 19,995 Roadsport 125 and rises to the topspec Superlight R500, which starts from 42,495. However, the latter car cant be had with the 40 Years of Caterham dashboard or alloys.
